PVM-21 Precise Velocity Measurement

The PVM-21 is part of the newest generation of ballistic speed measurement systems using "state of the art" technology. It combines reliability and an extremely high degree of accuracy. It is a very user friendly system. The PVM.21 is the result of 25 years of experience in engineering and development of ballistic velocity measurement systems.

Infrared Lightscreen:

The high accurate, digitally controlled infrared lightscreen is suitable for all light conditions. This includes outdoor measurement sessions under a bright sun, a cloudy sky or indoor sessions with or without additional light. State of art technology and very high efficiency result in extremely low power consumption of only 2.1 Watt total. The PVM-21 is connected to the lightscreen with only one cable. The standard cable length is approx. 15 feet. The lightscreen gain can be adjusted from .17 caliber to .50 caliber by Remote control and also by the included software. The size of the sensing area is about 4 in. x 8 in. (110 x 200mm). The Measuring base length is 13,58 in. (345mm).

USB Interface:

The USB interface is compatible to USB 2.0 and 1.1. It is used to transfer measurement data from the PVM-21 to the PC and Setup informations from the PC to the PVM-21.

IR=C - the Infrared Remote Control Unit:

Allows the user to easily set up and control the PVM-21 without leaving the shooting position. The IR=C also offers the ability to control more than one PVM.21 selectively with only one remote control unit. The user can enter the bullet weight into the PVM-21 from (0,001 - 1543.2 Grain) or (0,0001100.0 Gram) with the IR=C.

The Software:

An extensive software package is included in the PVM-21 delivery standard. In the PVM-21 database all measured values and user defined data like ammunition, weapon or other user data can be stored. The Database can be configured by the user and contains 4 database tables with 10 entries, pictures
and comments. The numbers of database entries is unlimited. Import and export functions available. Series Graphic as chart or Gauss distribution. Remote Display (Big display on PC monitor) Formula editor to create user specified calculations. Store and reload user defined PVM-21 settings. The software contains a powerful report generator tool, that allowes the user to create personalized printouts.
